Gold Coast City Choir inc
The choir, first established in 1969 and incorporated in 1991, has a current enrolment of 65 with singers of a wide range of ages. It is a SATB choir – that is, it sings music written for Soprano, Alto, Tenor and Bass.
The choir sings in many venues, from churches to HOTA, Home of the Arts Gold Coast, local theatres and halls. As well as its normal concert programme, the choir also sings at various community events through the year.
Our Aims
As the Gold Coast’s premier four-part choir we aim to
- encourage participation in, and appreciation of, choral singing
- develop and promote a quality, community based, mixed voice choir
- promote public awareness of choral music
Musical Director
In 2015, the Choir saw the start of a new chapter in its history with the appointment of Sue Roberts as the choir’s Musical Director. Sue is the Head of Performing Arts at Somerset College on the Gold Coast and brings a breadth of experience to the choir….continue reading

Repertoire
The Choir has a very broad repertoire, including traditional classical choral music, Australiana, contemporary popular music, opera choruses, and music from the shows. We are now widening our appeal to singers and audiences by including more contemporary music in our repertoire.
